For spring 2012, Chanel offered us the Harmonie de Printemps, a trio of pretty creme polishes consisting of April, May and June. Based on my first glimpses of April (a rich berry colour) online, I wasn’t sure if I was going to get it. I’ve been fascinated by glitters and holo’s for the last little while, and April seemed a little … meh. I am so glad that I changed my mind; April is anything but boring. Photos simply cannot capture how amazing it is. The glossy finish is out of this world – it will have you staring at your nails non-stop. It’s also a very pretty, classic colour.
The application is a Chanel dream – almost a one-coater. I also got fantastic wear from April without any need for top coat. Did I mention the glass-like finish? It’s almost as if it comes with its own built-in top coat.

Enough raves. On to the outfit. Inspired by the rich colour of April, I pulled out my Laundry bow blouse – a cornucopia of warm colours, perfect for spring. [A girl can dream, right?] In a moment of inspiration, I also dug out a Missoni skirt I bought almost a year ago, and never wore. It was a steal of a deal, but somehow I never quite figured out how to pair it. I quite like this combo, though. What do you think?

I quite like how the print of the blouse complements the delicate ribbon detail on the skirt. So pretty!

Happy Friday!

    • Not sure what it is… maybe a combination of the pin stripe, plus the vertical line, plus the color ( I don’t own a lot of brown). Just feel a bit much, ya know? But it IS such a pretty skirt; I wish I wore it more often.
