The second polish in Chanel’s Les Jeans line-up is the “dark horse”: Blue Rebel. A dark blue leaning towards navy, this is quite subdued for what is not your typical manicure colour.
In low light, it looks a little bit darker, so here is another pic:
Application was very smooth and easy; not quite a one-coater, but close. The formula flows really well, so two coats is more than manageable. It dries super smooth and shiny, like all Chanel cremes.

On the nail, Blue Rebel looked familiar, so I went back to check my stash for dupes. The polish it reminded me of, Essie Bobbing for Baubles, turned out to be darker in the bottle so no go. But it’s close enough if you’re not a Chanel collector, or prefer Essie’s price tag.
For my inspired outfit, I decided to go with a cool palette of blues, blue-leaning grey, and purple. And I finally found a way to wear my Nine West brocade print wedges in a non-black outfit. Finally – success! Can you tell from this week’s pick that I am thinking more and more about my impeding return to the office? Only a couple more weeks to go …
Happy Friday!
