If I am perfectly honest, this Tracy Reese dress is not really my thang right now. But it’s a pretty, super flattering dress, and I am still deeply susceptible to those. Dear readers … I bought it. It was $7. Why the heck not? I wore it for a “date night”, which in fact meant a child-free, late-afternoon “dinner” with my husband at the local sushi joint. And they say that romance is dead, pshaw.

The whole outfit is a bit of a throwback because those sandals are also something I loved a couple of years ago, but probably wouldn’t buy now. They’re very high (and uncomfortable) and quite sexy. If there is one thing my current style ISN’T, it’s sexy. Even on “date nights”, Imma gonna pick comfort over pretty much everything else, every time. Oh hey, what’s that? The corpse of romance, turning over in its grave, you say? Well, pooh.

  1. That is the perfect color for your skin tone! and the dress is very flattering. Those shoes are a knock-out too. You look great!

  2. Great dress. I feel the same way about my summer wardrobe – I work from home in the summer, so I just wear the same 7 dresses over and over. Periodically I ask my husband (still feels weird saying that!) if I’m too old for some of them but he’s basically useless on that front.

  3. I remember this dress from back when I shopped Anthro a lot. It’s gorgeous and really suits your shape. If you ever do want to pass it on I’ll buy it from you 😉
