I don’t know what possessed me to try this tights+shoes combo, so let’s chalk it up to exhaustion. My daughter had the sniffles, and I didn’t get a lot of sleep the night before. I threw on a wrap dress because it’s just about the easiest thing. I always forget about this DVF number; maybe because it’s leopard print and, hence, a little “racy” for the office? Who knows.
Of course, I went and threw on a cardigan because … werk. There’s only so much disco the office can handle.
I bought this blazer and skirt from a local consignment store recently. They’re both Banana Republic pieces, so it kinda makes sense that they go together perfectly. They’re versatile pieces that will, for sure, mix really well with my existing wardrobe, but I seem stuck on wanting to pair them all the time. The first time, I wore a white top – boring! – so this time I threw in a wild card. Chartreuse is pretty much the definition of wild, right?
I know this is supposed to be more of an office style-oriented blog, but can you guys handle a couple more weekend outfits? The warm weather means I can still take photos outside, and thank God for that! The basement dungeon is giving me the sads, y’all.
Hey, look: cute vintage pendant. I bought this a year ago on my first trip to Ottawa. Since, I’m heading back there again next month, I’m on the lookout for another sweet souvenir. If you’re got some recc’s on places to stop in, let me know.
And, now, for something completely different: schoolmarm chic!
OK, I probably should have kept this one off the blog, but … eh. I’m currently knee deep in final revisions for my book, and on top of work and family commitments, I’m just about tapped out – of words and creative mojo. So, until next time, I’ll leave you with a couple more photos of my oh-so-fashionable weekend look.
