Hard to believe it’s November – this weather is positively balmy. Well, for Edmonton in November, anyway. Took advantage of the opportunity to wear one of my summer dresses. Nothing earth-shattering happening here, but I always love a black, red, blue combo.
These thrifted Canadienne boots are great – and insulated! and waterproof! – but they are a somewhat odd height, since they hit me about mid-calf. Initially, that gave me pause, and I almost didn’t buy them, but I figured they were worth a risk for all of $20. They’re in mint condition so even if the style is a bit out there, they’re a good pair to have on hand come, ahem, winter.
Great find!! I think the tights hide the fact that they hit you at mid-calf and it gives the outfit a bit of an old twist. This look makes me think of a modern take of “old-romantic”. Very cute!

Cute outfit, and I really like the scarf.
We’re having an unusually balmy November in NYC too, which is not at all consistent with my experience of autumn here in the last three years. It’s still consistently in the 50s Farenheit, which is just very strange…
Well, we have now had our first snow, but it’s still relatively warm and dry, all things considered. And it IS weird! I can’t believe it’s the end of November already …
