I bought this cardigan because it’s an Anthro brand, and my buy-all-the-Anthro-things mentality could not countenance leaving it behind. Having worn it, I’m still not sure if it’s my style … but it sure is pretty. Paired with my high-waisted Zara skirt, it’s polished enough for a casual day at the office. Here’s a closer look at the print:
This skirt was one of my best retail buys of recent years; still a great silhouette and the quality is holding up just fine. These J. Crew shoes were also a good retail purchase — they’re quite comfortable, and the colour is a great accent for my wardrobe palette. Since I’m still looking for nude and navy pumps, they were a great choice for this outfit — picking up the hints of dark turquoise in the cardigan. Matchy matchy? But of course.
Love the outfit and the teal shoes are a perfect pop of colour. I think nude shoes would be too dull with this outfit – but I’m also biased against nude shoes. Why go so plain when you can have fun with colour!
I used to love nude shoes, but until I find a perfect pair of pumps again, I have to go without. And I had to say, I don’t miss them as much as I would have thought.
I found your blog through an interview you did with Save, Spend, Splurge and I wanted to tell you that I love it! I’m a lawyer too, in the US. You also inspired me to try consignment shopping for the first time! If you’re still looking for navy pumps, I’ve seen this pair: http://www.clarksusa.com/us/womens/womens-view-all/Crewso-Wick-Navy-Leather/p/26116819?utm_source=criteo&utm_medium=remarketing&utm_term=261168194075&utm_content=300×600&utm_campaign=lowerfunnel
I get many of my work shoes from Clark’s and have been pretty happy with the quality/comfort/price level.
I am also a big reader so I always like reading your posts about writing and books too.
Hi Emily, and welcome! I hope you liked your consignment experience … do try thrifting too if you get a chance.
Thanks for the recc, I will definitely keep my eye out for Clark’s on my thrift hunts š
