Ever since I found this cropped blazer, I knew I wanted to pair it with my navy midi skirt. It’s a no brainer. And lo — they work great together. I so love it when my instincts are proven right. I hesitated over the shoes, because any number of options could have worked — red, gold, blue, nude. In the end, I went with something less obvious: teal.
Oh, and to be clear: I promise you that I’m wearing a camisole underneath. In the light of my bedroom, it looked cream to me, but in the basement dungeon, it turned, well, flesh toned. But, no, I’m not nearly racy enough to go sans top to work.
Here are some close-ups:
I’ll admit, when I first saw this outfit, I thought you had taken leave of your senses… and your shirt. π I am glad I was wrong on both counts.
Hahahahahaha! No … at least, not the shirt π
Hee hee. How old are your kids now? My girl is 2.5 and… yowza. It’s enough to drive anybody up the wall.
They’re 4.5 and 2.5 (almost). I know … yowza is right, LOL!
Is 3 worse than 2? I’ve been told it gets worse. I love my little firecracker, but man is she putting my patience to its limits some days…
LOL! She will probably keep doing that … 3 (and 4) year olds’ temper tantrums are just as impressive as toddlers’ (if not more so), but the upside is that the rest of the time they are slightly more amenable to reason. I’ve found that, as they get older, the tantrums get shorter/less frequent, and they start being able to be talked through them … if that helps π
Teal and navy! What a great idea! As more navy seems to be incorporating itself into my wardrobe, this is a good idea to stretch it beyond the usual red or grey I pair it with.
There are lots of interesting colour matches for navy. Green, pink, yellow, lighter blues … lots of options π
I didn’t even notice the flesh toned area, on Insta or the blog. I probably just assumed you had a top on and thought nothing of it!
Haha! Thanks for the vote of confidence xx
