I feel extra proud whenever I wear this Tristan jacket, because it’s one of the oldest pieces in my closet. I bought it when I was pregnant with my son, which would make it … five and a half years old. Um, excuse me while I get this pesky something out of my eye *sniff*

OK, I’m back. The jacket is actually from the late-2000s, but I bought it at a consignment store long after lusting over it at the mall. It’s still holding up — style- and quality-wise — very well, all things considered. I paired it with my colorblock Pink Tartan sheath dress, for a made-in-Canada party. And I resisted the urge to spice up the outfit with a pop of red … by adding a pop of fuchsia instead. I hope you are impressed by my creativity 😉

I love your site, Adina! You have such creative pairings of high end and thrifted items! Do you mind sharing the style name of the black Stuart Weitzman shoes you’re wearing? I love the pointed toe.
Thank you, Susan! Unfortunately, I don’t know the name of the SW shoes 🙁 I bought them back in 2010 (and, yes, they are still going strong after a huge amount of wear) and I didn’t keep track of details like that back then. I would expect that SW still makes a very similar style, if not the same. They’ve got about a 3 inch heel, which is perfect.
