This dress is a bit short for the office, but I wanted to try out this combo and it seemed a bit much for weekend wear … so I waited for a quiet day at work and — bam. Outfit deployed. I’m glad I did it because I really enjoyed wearing it; it’s way more orange than a ginger like me should ever wear, but somehow I don’t mind. As a bonus, no one at work raised an eyebrow over the extra couple of inches of exposed knee; mostly because they weren’t around to notice it but still. I’m calling it a success.

  1. I think the dress works because it has pops of yellow and cobalt throughout so it’s got a fresh vibe, not completely rust on ginger.

All the omg-so-professional-style dresses sit above the knees like that on me.

  2. You look great! I’ve taken to ordering the Long length on some dresses and skirts to make sure they reach my knee and I’m only 5’6″ at best… Come on retailers, let us have a little more fabric on our hems!

    • That makes a lot of sense! I don’t have that option when I’m thrifting but I would def try it next time I order online.
