It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these outfits. I am happy to report that the formula still works. Also, this blazer is still the most comfortable thing that ever blazered. I’ve been low key looking for a plain black version of it — I am forever without a good black blazer, go figure — for a while, but no dice. Most other soft/slouchy Talula blazers I have found are too structure-less for my taste. It’s the same story as with my favourite pair of pants. It’s sad.

I wish there was a way to order “back issue” versions of your favourite clothes. Wouldn’t that be just wonderful? I have a growing list of items that I really should replace but can’t because I cannot find an exact replacement. Bah.

  1. I have successfully found a couple of “back issues” of a favorite J.Crew skirt and a favorite Banana republic sweater via eBay so I do periodically check for dupes of my favorites. I have only been successful maybe twice, there is always something like they are stretched or shrunk or just lack of quality control between runs, ahem Banana… But I always figure it never hurts to look when you do find that perfect piece.

  2. I do love a column of black! This is my big hangup with fast fashion: I find a piece I love (usually thrifted in the first place) but a replacement forever eludes me. Thredup can be good for this, but I’ve had limited luck lately.

    • Yeah, I use eBay the same way but it’s a crapshoot and it can take time. I’m impatient, haha. I would like my replacement available precisely when I need it. I wish that were an option, sigh.
