Why, yes, this is still supposed to be a fashion blog. So, umm, let’s fashion.
I’ve decided to take a slightly different approach to these posts going forward, and I may tweak them again as I go (possibly break them up into smaller posts?). With Instagram becoming increasingly unfriendly to content creators, I want to start using this space again more extensively. Rather than focus on choosing my favourite looks of the week, I’ll post all or most of them along with sourcing information. I’ll cut back on the commentary — y’all don’t need to hear my thoughts on everything I wear — unless there is something relevant or useful like fit information and so on. Let me know what you think about this format.

I love your commentary, so if you want to add it back every once in a while, please do! For me, it makes the outfits to know what your thought process was behind them.
I often feel like I don’t have anything interesting or insightful to say about every outfit, but I’m def listening to what people are saying here and I will revisit with future posts.
Yes! Your elegant words are as evocative as the photos. Anyone can do nice catalog; few can write. I mean really write like a preraphaelite!
I love hearing all of your comments about the outfits you wear and how you decided on the finished look-the process. Please don’t cut back on your writing. Your writing is wonderful. I have followed you from the beginning.
Thanks, Joan! The struggle to write stuff I’m happy to post is … real. I often don’t feel like I have much to say. But I’m going to try to compensate in other posts. We’ll see though, I’m def open to tweaking the format again.
As always, I LOVE your outfits. But I very much miss your commentary. I always enjoy hearing your thought process. Please consider adding it back! Happy Friday!
My goal was to focus writing other posts where I feel like I have something more meaningful to say, but I may bring back commentary on outfit posts if I feel like there is something interesting to point out.
man those are great outfits. that last one in particular.
Enjoy these posts regardless. What’s up with Instagram? I notice I seem to get more and more ads these days.
I don’t know. Instagram is just annoying. I’ve heard rumblings that they may bring back chronological feeds, which would be amazing but I’m not holding my breath.
That would be so much better omg.
I thought I already commented, but maybe not? I wanted to make sure to let you know that I like your commentary almost as much as the outfits themselves! You are so creative & knowledgeable about fashion. Your blog is always a nice way to start my day. 🙂
First of all, I LOVE every one of the outfits here. Second, as a long-time reader, I for one think we do need to hear your thoughts about everything you wear. (I mean, that’s one of the main reasons I love your blog!) I l’ve so enjoyed hearing your explanations of how you put an outfit together, the triumphs and the misses, and the back stories of the clothes, shoes, and accessories. Although the sourcing information is great, I love your writing and definitely missed it here!
Thanks for the feedback! I’m going to think about how to incorporate commentary again, as long as I have something to say 😜
I like the new format!
I personally love hearing your thoughts on everything!
I like the new format! I like your commentary when you have something to say and am happy to take inspo in between from just the visual. I pinned the outfit with reds and the DvF wrap. It’s amazing. I will keep coming back here for your writing but love love love your clothes, too. I think I can feel it when you’re not energized by the writing and would totally take fewer analytical posts that you really feel good about (like when you talk about refreshing your avatars!) over forced content.
Yes, that’s I mean: I want to avoid forced content, and sometimes the visual is all I have that feels fresh and interesting. And I do want to put more effort into standalone posts. So, we shall see.
Nice to see your outfits in any way you choose to share, but echoing the comments about missing your commentary on outfit creation and your artistic process and swlf expresssion…
Another vote for your outfit commentary if you have the time / inclination!
IG is pants these days in all honesty, I get about 5 posts from ppl I follow, then a loads of ads as I scroll down, then suggested posts b/c I follow X person.
I just want to see posts from people I follow in chronological order. How hard is it???
As you’ll often notice from my “like spamming”, I regularly miss your posts and then they all come up at the same time….
I don’t see your posts either! I hate IG so much these days 😡
I enjoy all your stuff, including your writing. Would hate to see you leave out all your writing, but if not writing as much helps you post more often, cool. Love these especially the hunter green and pink, but also the cobalt sweater with the plaid skirt.
I love your commentary. But I understand if takes more time. COLOR COLOR COLOR
