OK, that is not strictly speaking true, because I wear this coat during the week too. However, it has become my weekend go-to because (a) it’s cute (so it automatically makes all the rando ish I tend to wear on weekends look cuter) and (b) I don’t have to worry about the kids getting it dirty. I mean, they will get it dirty at some point, because getting things dirty seems to be their raison d’etre at the moment, but when it happens I won’t have to feel guilty about it – the advantage of a cute-but-cheap coat.
I went on a bit of a wild spending spree in the grocery store beauty aisle recently, buying up pretty much every shade of the Rimmel Colour Rush Chubby Stick-knock offs. Including this hot pink shade that, lo and behold, matches my coat like “whoa”. It’s a good thing that I wear this coat mainly on weekends, because I don’t think I’m brave enough to wear this lipstick at the office. It’s, um, bright. And pink. Very, very pink. I think it’s a decent dupe for Nars Schiap, in case anyone is interested in that sort of thing. As y’all know already, I’m a big fan of these Rimmel lip balm/stick thingies, especially considering the price.
You know what else I’m a big fan of? Wearing black and white (and grey) … all the time, apparently. Nary a floral in sight – jeez, who am I?
I kinda like how you are all about B&W right now. it gives me hope that i can eventually put together a nice outfit.
I am! And I’m sure you can, already 🙂
I love that coat! Is it warm?
Thanks! I would say that it can be, especially if you layer up. I wouldn’t wear it outside in -20 degree weather – not for long anyway – but it’s perfect for a mild winter and spring.
That Rimmel Colour Rush was such a good tip – it’s my go-to lip product these days.
Hi! Love that pink wool coat! did you buy it in EDM?
Thanks! Yes, I bought it at Winners in Edmonton. But it was at the beginning of March, so I think it may have been cleared out. I did not see it again at the southside/Gateway Blvd. location, but you might try one of the other Winners in town.
