I didn’t realize the background colour on these pants was navy, not black, until the 3rd or 4th time I wore them. D’oh. Now that I know, I finally paired them with the appropriate colours – burgundy and more navy (natch). Nothing fancy here, but I liked how this all came together – and my IG peeps seemed to like it too – so here we are. I’m wearing head to ankle J. Crew, with my new thrifted Stuart Weitzman pumps completing the picture. These puppies run narrow – yikes. I’m hoping they will stretch out with time.

  1. Cute outfit! I like the colour combination – I’ve been feeling navy and burgundy myself lately. I’m a bit hesitant about the nude pumps, however. It’s not an option I have in my closet, probably because I like colour better! I don’t think they look bad; my own preference would lead me to add a coloured shoe. (Although then do you do navy, burgundy, or something else?)

    • I’m super matchy, as you know, so I would probably go with a coordinating colour. But I don’t have any navy shoes at the moment. I think nude is a nice neutral, though. Can substitute for any colour, really, in a pinch.

  2. I took a page out of your book and bought that same J. Crew top off of Poshmark for a song. I adore it. Thanks for the fashion inspiration!
