Can you believe I wore this outside — in Edmonton, in February — with only minimal gritting of teeth (before putting on my coat and heading about my weekend errands)? Yeah, it’s pretty unbelievable but there you have it. Mildest winter we’ve had since … well, probably the last time gas was $0.60 at the pump. Thanks El Niño! (Considering what the current recession is doing to my retirements savings, I’ll save the thanks to OPEC. Ahem.) Where was I? Oh yeah, this outfit. I liked it a lot. Lotsa grey going on, but no drabness.

Just a quick heads up: next Friday, the 26th, is book club day. Have you started Good Omens yet? If not, you probably still have time to get caught up before next week — it’s a fun, fairly quick read. Oh, and if you’re interested in some other book news closer to home the blog, check out the Books page for some updates on my upcoming titles.

  1. Love the outfit. You are so lucky to be able to dress like that these days. In Ottawa we got 2 feet of snow in the last two days and it is -21C right now. I lived in Cold Lake, AB for 3 years so you must be having unseasonably warm weather right now. Enjoy. The boots are awesome. Cheers, Michele

    • lol I was just gonna comment about Ottawa too. We got back from Mexico on Sunday to a -25C city. Then got dumped on by 51cm of snow on Wed and now sitting at -25C 🙁

You look lovely Adina. I need to wear grey tights more

      • Yuck! I’m sorry to hear that. We *just* got another dump of snow, but it’s pretty light, and the temp is only -6C. The only crappy part is going through the icky snow melting/brown goop cycle every other week.

    • The weather is definitely unusual for Alberta. I’m NOT complaining, LOL! And I feel your pain — that’s usually the kind of thing we have to deal with here.

  2. I was going to say how much I like your skirt but then thought, isn’t it a dress? A quick scroll back up revealed all but anyway I like the smudgy floral effect. It’s not dissimilar to a little cord Anthro skirt I have with blue, green and white smudgy floral pattern. I can only wear it in winter with tights as it’s far too short (for me) to go barelegged but as it was only £9.99 six months of wear a year is just fine 🙂
