It might not look like it from a distance, but this was a very girly outfit. Check it: it’s got florals, lace, bows, and all sorts of other frills. I loved how everything came together, but it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea — especially at the office. I’ll admit, I’ve been slacking on the whole “serious bizness lady” vibe with my work outfits, and reverted back to wearing whatever the heck I like (within dress code limits) even if it sometimes falls closer to “cute” than “corporate” on the spectrum. Eh, you gotta have fun with your clothes, right?
In this case, I was especially tickled by the fact that the hardware on my bag and shoes matched … all thanks to Goodwill, where I lucked into finding this cute pair of Ferragamo flats (to go with my Sofia bag). But that’s a story for another post.
The outfit is awesome, but those shoes…I drool. They are so gorgeous I can’t stand it. You have the most amazing style. I wish I could wear clothes like that to work, but I wear scrubs, so that rules that out. Loving the posts. Cheers, Michele
Thank you! It’s true … one of my fave things about my job is getting to dress up every day š (kidding, not kidding)
i LOVE this outfit – seriously, you can do no wrong when it comes to office clothes. I wish I didn’t have to wear a white coat because I think blazers make everything look instantly more polished.
You are so sweet! <3
And I happen to think that your white coat style is perfectly on point.
I like this a lot..fun and pretty! How do you find the Joe Fresh pants?
Sorry for the confusion — the pants are from the Gap. I really like them a lot! They’re very soft/comfy (they’re cords — it’s kinda hard to see that in the photo).
Ahhh, I see. I read it wrong! Love cords.
This is pretty girly, but you look great. š I am loving that blazer! Also your necklaces.
Thank you, Meg! Necklace layering is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I was feeling indecisive, and this seemed to work so — yay!
I hear you! Necklace layering is super-hard for me – probably because I have a lot of louder necklaces…
Everything about this outfit is just lovely! The detail on your blazer is so fun.
I love it when you’re “fun”! That’s why I’m addicted to this blog. You’re fun style can very flexible, you can go casual with a change of shoes or pants. Since I work in manufacturing, casual is my life. But, I’m a girl, an old girl, and I like to look ” presentable”.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful closet with us.
Love the outfit! New follower of the blog. Which style of pants from Gap are these? Always looking for cute professional clothes!
They’re the skinny cords. I bought them from a consignment store, so I don’t know the exact product name, but I’ll check them at home tonight to see if it’s written on the inside tag/band.
