January was a pretty month. Unexpected, right? January gets a bad rap, mostly because it (usually) sucks. The start of a new year means that the billable clock resets to zero (hello, stress!), and the winter is months away from ending. But we’ve had relatively mild weather, which has helped a lot, and this January has been surprisingly productive … on various fronts, not just work. I’ve made good progress on my second novel, which — I’ll be honest — accounts for 75% of my current positive outlook.

On to the clothes:

There weren’t any really terrible outfits this month, and a few faves to pick from (mine were #1, 6, 7, 11, 18, and 19). I went thrifting a LOT in December and January, so I had quite a few new pieces with which to play … happy camper. It’s hard to pick favourites as far as that goes, because many of the new pieces are classic staples that will stand me in good stead even if they don’t set the fashion world on fire, but if I absolutely HAD to pick … well, my floral Moulinette Soeurs skirt, BR navy cropped jacket, and vintage dress would be at the top of the list.

Next up: February, and the Year of the Monkey.
