Favourites

The early part of this year was a thrifting bonanza. The finds have slowed down to a trickle now, but I have recent pieces like these to play with —- and they are so much fun. I wasn’t sure about this Cartonnier jacket when I first got it, but I quickly came to love it. It adds a certain je ne sais quoi to every outfit. And this vintage YSL skirt is simply the best. I’m still rather awed by the fact that I found it at all. Together, this outfit was a total 10/10 package for me.

Prep With An Edge

I don’t often do this, but I was struggling to come up with an outfit idea to take this faux leather skirt to work, so I went off to Google inspiration. A version of this outfit is the first thing that came up, and I decided to give it a try even though it’s quite a preppy concept which is not my usual thing at all. The twist, here, is the colour combo (dark green and plum/burgundy) and the slightly “undone” vibe. I like how it came together, and the process sparked some other ideas for outfits for this skirt.

Plums and Butterflies

I guess I’m still having a mini skirt moment. But, honestly, how could I pass up this Missoni skirt for $6.50.
