My bangs are so tragic in these photos that they’re totally throwing me off; I’m pretty sure this was a cute outfit, but I don’t know if I’m doing it justice. This (thrifted, natch) Maeve blouse did get me quite a few compliments at the office, and it’s very comfortable to boot. Rayon is usually dependable in that regard. These William Rast skinnies are also soft and comfy, with a good amount of stretch. Is WR still considered premium denim? What is Justin Timberlake up to these days anyway?

Sorry, got side-tracked there for a minute. I still haven’t managed to find a replacement for my red suede flats, but luckily they’re not quite dead yet. They always add a nice touch of colour. Because it was a chillier morning, I threw on my newly thrifted Ben Sherman peacoat and lookit: so great. Please excuse my Hulk pose, I wanted to show the fit.

One word: amazing. And it was only $8, you guys! This one was definitely a happy-dance kind of thrift find.

This outfit didn’t get a ton of love on IG, but I really liked it. These pants are hella comfortable for being high waisted and wool. The lining is thick and so silky — it makes the pants feel like pyjamas. Can’t beat that, right? Right. I mixed in another print, because why not; florals, because of course. And then I added a red bag because … no reason needed really. A red bag is always a good idea.

How do we feel about this palazzo style? It’s growing on me, although I’ll be a skinny-ankle-crop chick till the bitter end. How about you?

All About the Bag & Shoe

As the title suggests, this outfit was mostly an excuse — or a backdrop, if you will — for wearing these shoes and this bag. Starting at the bottom, the shoes are Vince by way of Winners, for the bargain price of $28. I’ll be honest: I probably wouldn’t have bought them were it not for the price, because they’re suede and will likely get wrecked in no time flat. But! They are very nice, and the white sole adds a certain je be said quois.

The bag is an Arcadia bowler I scored at VV’s 50% off sale for $4. It had a bunch of scuffs (some of which came off with a bit of alcohol and some elbow grease, and some which didn’t but are luckily not very noticeable), but it was a fantastic find nonetheless. I used to be a huge Arcadia fan back in the day, and their bags are still pretty great. I’ve had a large black patent leather tote since circa 2009, which I use to schlepp my work crap (including the kitchen sink) during my commute, and it’s proven to be indestructible. So I have high hopes for this bag too. I would say that, if you’re in the market for a reliable, good quality work bag, Arcadia is a brand worth checking out; you can often find them at Winners for around $125-$150, and they are worth it, in my (unsponsored) opinion. Or you can keep an eye out for then at the thrift store, but then you’ll have to arm wrestle me first.
