Love Moschino floral dress; Ferragamo red Flavia pumps
Dress, Love Moschino; sweater & belt, J. Crew Factory; shoes, Ferragamo (via consignment)

Late September proved to be summer’s last gift to us – positively warm temperatures, and sunshine for days. I seized the opportunity, and took out my Love Moschino dress for one more, bare-legged spin. Tights can wait!

The black sweater was probably an unnecessary (weather) precaution, but it provided a nice neutral backdrop for a couple of colour accents. I was thrilled to finally wear my red Ferragamo pumps (last year’s consignment coup), and they didn’t let me down. Pretty to look at, and comfortable as well, even after a couple of hours on my feet.

  1. As much as I’m a little OCD about some seasonal fashion rules (I saw a lady wearing seersucker on an airplane last week and my eye started to twitch a little), I can’t bring myself to put florals away for the winter. At least in part because that’s like 1/3 of my wardrobe. Love those shoes, they are adorable. As is the whole outfit!

    • I’m right there with you!! I think florals are at least 1/3 of my wardrobe. If I didn’t rein myself in, more like 2/3. Florals everywhere, don’t care.

  2. Love this outfit – especially the blue and red accents! The dark colours and the sweater make it suitable for fall, I think. I’m inspired to try to find my own dark colours I can wear with red and blue accents.

    • What they call “Dark florals” (florals on a dark colour background, basically) are supposedly trendy right now. Personally, I think you can never go wrong with florals. You are not surprised, I’m sure 😉

      • I am not surprised. 🙂 Patterns are always the way to go. I have a scarf with a floral print on a black background which makes it nice for fall – but I wore it in spring and summer too. Also loving the sweater over dress combo – I’m planning to pull apart my wardrobe to make sure I have sweaters that can go over all of my dresses.

  3. oooooh girl i love this outfit so much. i can’t wait to copy it. i lovelovelove this dress–so much that i’m going to look for it on ebay now. in other news, i’m glad to see that you bookend your outfits with colors so that shoes match better. sometimes i wear a necklace or scarf, or even headband in a certain color (usually black) so i can wear the shoes i want (usually black ones). basically, i have trouble wearing black shoes. i always have. okay, i’ve gotten way off. those red shoes are my fav and so are you.
