Anthropologie edme & Esyllte Phosphorescence skirt; J. Crew hot pink Cece flats
Skirt, Anthropologie (via eBay); top, Gap Factory; necklace, RW&Co.; shoes, J. Crew (via consignment); bag. MbMJ (via eBay)

Floral skirt + striped top = laziest easiest outfit recipe ever! It’s how I roll. Don’t fix what ain’t broken, etc., etc.

The derpy money shot

But the hot pink flats! They’re hot pink! I couldn’t resist, though god knows how many occasions a thirty-something has to wear hot pink shoes. Here’s an idea: let’s brainstorm … because I need to wear these puppies as much as possible.

better …

This skirt is growing on me too. (It helps that it’s a perfect match for these flats.) It might just vie for the “favourite” title this summer. Oooh. Smackdown of the floral Anthro skirts? It’s on, baby.

Paisley + Plum

What I Wore: Grocery Shopping

J. Crew pink paisley shirt; NYDJ pants; Tumbled Reva
Shirt, J. Crew Factory; vest, Old Navy; pants, NYDJ (via consignment); shoes, Tory Burch (via Kijiji)

Kids, this is what happens when you sleep on wet hair. Just don’t.

Moving on to the outfit, this is formula dressing at its best better than average. Pick a shirt – any shirt – from my closet, throw the vest on top, don’t forget pants, and done. It’s practical, it’s comfy, I could wear some version of this every day. Oh, my glamorous life. The missing exclamation mark is intentional, in case you’re wondering.

I don’t really have much more to add, so I’ll pull the ole blogger manoeuvre and wrap up the post with a question: what’s your easy outfit formula?

(And, hey, if you want to reciprocate, feel free to leave me your question(s) in the comments.)

Pink Paisley + Polka Dots

What I Wore: Brunch

J. crew polka dot dress
Dress, J. Crew (via eBay); shirt and belt, J. Crew Factory; bag, MbMJ (via consignment)

I like this outfit a lot, and I promised you would see it again, and here we are.

I also like this shirt a lot, despite the fact that it’s paisley and pink, which sounds terrible but isn’t. And I like this pairing of pale pink and burgundy, which reinforces my belief that burgundy is the new black. Here’s an indoor shot to get a better look at the colours.

Also, polka dots. Lots and lots of polka dots.

Oh, and sticky toddler fingers on my dress. Of course.
